See you at the Norfolk Author Fair

I’ll join about three dozen local authors hawking books at the second annual Norfolk Public Library Author Fair at the Slover Library in downtown Norfolk on Saturday, March 2, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

I’ll have copies of my latest book,Uncle George and Me: Two Southern Families Confront a Shared Legacy of Slavery,  available for sale and signing. It’s an unexpectedly timely topic as Virginians grapple with revelations that their governor and attorney general appeared in blackface as young men.

I’ll also bring along copies of my co-authored true-crime book,A Far, Far Better Thing: Did a Fatal Attraction Lead to a Wrongful Conviction?  My co-author Jens Soering is still sitting in prison 34 years after a notorious double murder despite persuasive evidence that he’s innocent.

It’s all free and open to the public. See you there!
