I’ll be hawking my true-crime book at the upcoming Suffolk Literary Festival.
The event will be Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Paul D. Camp Community College, 271 Kenyon Road.
I’ll have copies of the book I co-wrote with Jens Soering, A Far, Far Better Thing: Did a Fatal Attraction Lead to a Wrongful Conviction? The book makes the case for the innocence of my co-author, who has served 32 years in prison for the murders of his then-girlfriend’s parents outside Lynchburg in 1985. Jens has a pardon petition pending with Gov. Ralph Northam.
I’ll join several other authors for a panel discussion on the writing process at 1 p.m.
The festival will also feature arts and crafts, face painting, storytelling, a poetry workshop and a rap battle. The free event is co-sponsored by the community college and the Suffolk Public Library.
